Description Another shot from Kilve beach - this one is post sunset.

I liked the line of rocks in this shot and it reminded me of a game of hop-skotch - jumping from one stone to the next etc.

Enjoy.

Beautiful shot. I really like how the lines of rocks lead your eyes into the photograph.

I'm willing to bet a crisp imaginary £20 note, that you skipped and jumped the line of those rocks!

Great photo.

hand over the £20 That would of been suicidal! it was sooo slippery on Kilve. not quite as bad as winspit is though!

Wow, amazing rock formation. Really great composition and angle. The color is good, the slow speed is perfect. I like it a lot. I wish the top-left of the sky is not to dark, the top-right is perfect or like the bottom side, perfect no darkening area (no vignetting or something). Very well done!

Thanks

its slight veignetting coupled with the fact that the cloud was preventing any light from reaching that part of the sky

glad you like it

Nice exposure.. I'd love to see the same scene with the rock lines coming from the top bottom left corner to the right one, adding to the effect. But in order to do that, you'll have to wet your feet

Believe me I have no problems getting wet. I've gota reputation with my mate ~Orca76 that whenever we go shooting somewhere its 95% garunteed I'll be coming back with my khakis soaked upto the knees lol

I seem to be having a hard time spotting these dust spots. I can see a big obvious one bottom right but for some reason I can' see the others. Think my eyes are getting worse and need retesting. might have to do that this weekend.

I cleaned the sensor the other day and theres still crap on it lol

Sky rhs 3 dust spots in a diagonal line - there may be others.
I can't see them properly unless I scan my images at 100%. I go to 200% before printing.

yeah I always check throughly before printing. I've gotten slack with it lately - these are the first time any dust spots have popped up with teh D300 lol

I love the line work. I would have loved to see the horizon a little higher, that would have brought more of the foreground up. I know that isn't always possible but I can dream can't I.

Neutron2K In reply to leavenotrase [2008-07-23 22:10:09 +0000 UTC]

thanks

The foreground in front of me wasn't interesting and I wanted to keep some of the sky in but yea, its not quite to the thirds which it should be.
