My designs for Raven and Starfire's diving outfits. (The boys will be in my next picture.)
I got this idea after watching "Deep Six" where they had to help Aqualad fight an underwater enemy. Even though it was a good episode, something that really miffed me about it was that they were seriously unprepared for their mission. I mean, they had a submarine of sorts, but the only person who could breathe underwater without scuba gear was Beast Boy (who turned into a whale) and when the Teen Titans got accidentally thrown into the water he had to rescue them! Come on, guys! Didn't you think to pack some diving equipment just in case?
Well, it looks like they won't be making the same mistake twice. If Aqualad needs their help again, they're going to be equipped this time.
Before I began drawing these two, I checked to see if anyone else had drawn pictures of what the Titans' scuba gear could potentially look like and I found this excellent design for Raven's diving suit the-sakura-samurai.deviantart.… by and that, quite frankly, my design looks nowhere near as good as! I love the Raven silhouette on her chest, her bubble helmet and that her usual belt was incorporated into her outfit. With my design for Raven, I really just gave her the same wetsuit that I have, only mine's pink, blue and black, instead of blue, navy and black.
As for Starfire, I wanted her to have a very feminine wetsuit and it's a common design at the moment for them to have cleavage lines, so I gave her one in her normal colours, alongside pink and the mandatory black. I didn't know quite what hairstyle to give her as her tresses are waist long, so I thought that maybe she wouldn't like to get them wet and gave her a swimming cap to cover them.
It looks like these two are definitely ready this time for their next underwater mission!
