my newest offering! ...it took 21 days to complete, using photoshop cs3.
.. lots of 'warping' was used for the stylized mist/wave thingy in order to get the flow.
.. film grain and my good ol glitter brush
... as for the concept .. ; i wanted a psychedelic feel in terms of color, flow and emotion ... which explains the metal she's wearing and the blindfold .. ( i could've easily shown her eyes closed but that would've been too conventional )
it's like .. she blindfolded herself, wants to be taken by surprise and really feel the ecstasy ..
the colored stylized mist is like a 'visual' representation of what she's feeling .. in a dreamscape of color, movement and sensuality .. being free ...
hope i made some sense ... but it was fun when i asked couple of my friends at the studio about the title and what their description was on a sublime ecstatic state ... part of it matched my work ... ( sign of relief
)now for a taste of reality : Technical issues
the file size ... was a nightmare ..
i had to split the file into four parts .. ( kinda getting used to this .. same treatment was for the showstopper and sweet as candy )each of the .psb files were around 1.4 gb ...
in fact, the resolution is 10330 x 5847 .. biggest one till date.
because of this, i faced a lot of scratch disk problems with photoshop .. system memory was sinking ... i had to delete a couple of movies to free up space ....
guess it was all worth it! ...

For the glows it's a simple shape with a radial gradient and then "color dodge" layer blending mode.

Very interesting piece. I love how you made her limbs sort of fade away, like she's sort of there, but sort of not... If that makes any sense... lol
The colors used were well chosen and there is a lot going on around her. Everything happening around her adds to the whole dreamlike feel of the picture and really gives the viewer a rough sense of how she's feeling.

But, other than that ... my friends kept asking me while the hell do i keep painting huge breasts o_O ..
then i realized ... Β damn ... next time ... go all natural Β +____=

I think women are just best depicted with bigger breasts. If I were to make a female character, I would want her to be striking and in top physical condition. That just includes being more filled out, other than having a small chest. That probably sounds really sexist... But I think you get what I mean. I think this all naturalΒ look your going for is more natural with large breasts. Lol.

Hehe, that's crazy! But impressive (and good!) work with just CS3. I thought you used 3D software... Great colors too!
I will upload something glowy and colorful too later, but much more abstract, based on some pix (rather backgrounds) I did with simple and free apps on a tablet (file sizes 250 kB? Haha!). This one goes to my faves, and also firestarter which is really cool too. Keep it up!
