My gift to one of my bosses is complete. It needed a background, so i said "what the heck, why not Cybertron" XDI have to kindly ask that no one colour this please. Since it is a gift to someone else, it just wouldnt be right that i give it around for people to colour. thanks!

This IS Megatron...! The majesty, the ambition, the power - all captured to perfection. The sheer detail on display here is phenominal. No wonder you landed a gig with Dreamwave: you're truly a master. I hope I can get this good, one day (sure I'm speaking for the rest of us mere mortals when I say that). Joe, I've been watching your style continue to advance and evolve. For a while, I could see definite influence from those that you mention as favorite artists and those that you work with. But recently, I've seen your own unique and individual style burst forward.
The one thing that I've thoroughly enjoyed in a lot of your recent work and can't wait to see in TF:WW3 is the facial expressions. You've been able to give the TFs real, human-like expressions without sacrificing the metallic and mechanical qualities of these transforming robots. This is evident is this piece as well.
Keep up the phenomenal work!

Damn Joe, you just never stop getting better. My friend, you are one of the best. I am blown away by the crispness of the pencils. If it weren't for a couple of spots, it would be impossible to tell it wasn't inked. I'll never figure out how you do that. Something tells me when you draw, there isn't an eraser to be found anywhere. You probably never need one

yeah the background was darkened a bit through the scan, it's actually a lot lighter on paper.
as for the watermark, i personally don't like adding them, it really does obscure the image a bit, and it doesnt really do much anyways. Just play around with the level sliders on photoshop and watermarks on b&w pics can easily be removed. watermarks are mainly used for coloured pics anways. If someone does voilate my request, then i'll deal with it.
as for the chingaurd, as i've said many times before, it's just personal stylistic preference. kind of like Wildman's human faces, not everyone will like them.. so *shrug*

So freakin' awesome! The only crit I have is that Megs seems to blend in with Cybertron. I think he needs a bit more thicker line outlining him. Or it might just be the scan giving off the impression.

very very cool joe, meggs looks chunky and badass and well the background is great. But how come in almost every cybertronian backgroudn, even tho it is condensed city. there is no traffic? no bots on the walkways etc etc? surely they're not that scared of meggs?
and I don't know, for some reason I can't see megatron having that big a chin... I guess it's just my preconception of the old cartoon, it's kinda like optimus primal, seeing him having a mouth in the mouth plate (damn stupid, damn damn stupid) just takes getting used to.
oh and next time you don't want anyone to draw over it? put a opaque layer of text over it obscuring part of the image, in short water mark it.
