Description
It's official: I'm going to be featured in the 8th (and final) volume of the Flight Anthology! I could not be more excited- long story short: this volume is going to be pretty amazing, seeing some of the work that's going into it from all the other crazy-talented contributors.This is just a little quick concept art I did as I was writing the script and coming up with the concept for the 18 page comic I've just finished, called "The Hollow Men".
Just me trying to figure out the character designs and an early pass at color palette.

I read your comic when I found out my school had the entire FLIGHT series. It was one of the best comics and has GORGEOUS artwork.

Whoa - that's awesome! Good luck working on this; the colour-study at the top is gorgeous, and the concepts look really interesting.
The Flight-volumes are collectively pretty awesome (and I see I've got some catching-up to do - I've only read the first five, and have been ignorant of the release of six and seven), so crazy-large amounts of congratulations to you are in order! I've also dreamed of being part of it ever since I picked up the first volume, and I'm ever-so-slightly jealous of you right now - and it's sad to hear that number eight is going to be the last volume. :/
FYI - I'm buying this volume so hard, and I'm kind of mightily disappointed that I can't make it to San Diego for Comic-Con. Curses be to student-loans and trans-Atlantic flights!

Lookin' good! Can't wait to see the finish! The skinniness of the man in the tiny little thumbnail at the bottom, plus the river, plus the forest, and plus the spooky looming creature all adds up to reminding me of the Deathly Hallows animation from Part 1. Psh, you would probably have done a better job designing that sequence.

When I saw the title for this piece, I literally squealed in glee; I'm so excited to know that one of my favorite artists will be in one of my favorite comics anthologies. This looks absolutely gorgeous, as usual--compact character designs and atmospheric coloring.
