Just a colored doodle of what happened after San Lorenzo (my friend's Moo Mesa OC) tried to pick up a fight with Cītlalli despite Cam warning him not to.

If you know Cītlalli, you should know that she (you have no idea how many times I have to tell others that she is female) is non-verbal. This is why many others like to underestimate her for who she is and see her as weak. This was what happened to Lorenzo here - though he mainly seeks for peace as he is a priest, I headcanon that a part of his former personality still remains inside of him (according to my friend, he was an executioner and had seen all sorts of things), so he accidentally starts arguments every now and then. Cam, being the one out of the three who despises arguments, always tries to stop them from happening between his friends whenever he could, but sometimes, when he knows that either one of them brought themselves into the situation/argument, he becomes nothing but a spectator and smirks as the argument goes on, as he knows that he can't do anything to stop it anyway (the chances of this happening will increase if he had warned them beforehand or if he is currently on duty, as seen in the artwork as he is wearing his hat).

Even though Cītlalli can protect herself most of the time due to her sharp talons and her aggressive way of fighting others, she still relies on Cam at times, especially when others are attempting to talk to either of them. Maybe the reason why they even became friends in the first place was that they had a lot in common - they both lost their parents before they both became adults, and their species were being persecuted by others during those times as well (with the hometown of Irma, Cam's mother, being burnt down to the ground in an intentional arson attempt and Cītlalli's parents being targeted as they were considered savages). They are also the only members of their corresponding species left alive - they just had no idea about this throughout their entire lives.

I might write a few oneshots for both of them soon, as I don't think I can link their stories together properly if I bundle all of their life events into one big pile. Also, let's ignore all the other fanfics from other fandoms that I have left abandoned for now...

Slightly off-topic, but I find it a bit sad whenever I am reminded about the fact that these three are all based on extinct (or in Cam's case, probably extinct) birds that existed during the 19th century. Although I can't change the past, I am currently working towards changing the future by learning more about the past mistakes that humanity has made.
