Thumbnail on the top left and character design by JakkaS. Rendering by me.This is done for Creature of the Week Challenge on conceptart.org. The challenge is to develop a thumbnail by anybody from the previous entry into a full-blown creature art. I chose JakkaS' entry because he is a fantastic creature artist with fantastic imagination and equally fantastic rendering skills.

I used the round brush for the most part, and a spray painting brush for the dust.

I did it in photoshop. I tried painter's trail period but couldn't get used to it

Wow. nice work. what kind of brushes you use in photoshop ? I mainly use the default ones that is in Photoshop. ...I really should start exploring how to make brushes. Looks like I'm missing out on good stuff lol.
