I've finally completed my anbu masks! yay^^And just one day before the convention "HA!
my 3 friends and i are going as anbu:
Hinata, Sakura, Naruto and shikamaru (order of masks from the left^^)
im really proud of the whole costume cuz its the first time i make a real costume on my own^^ and of course i couldnt do it without the help and encouragement of one of my bestest best friends, BeKk-DeAtHaNgEl

get a plastic full face mask, and buy some model magic, or any kind of modeling foam (i got mine at either toy r us, and Micheal's. even staples.)
it works a lot better than paper mache in this situation. its easier to form, you can stretch it, and its very light weight :3

well what you do with the foam, you roll it into a ball and flatten it into a big flat circle, and lightly lay it over the mask. all the excess foam that you cut off or have left over is used for the ears. You can eaither attach it directly to the foam, before it dries, or let them dry seperately and attach them with a hot glue gun afterwards.
as for the string, its like an elastic. you can buy them at art stores, more so in the sections for jewlery making. :3

im not gonna lie, they're made pretty damn cheap lmao XD
basically i took a large plastic cup (1 for each costume)and cut them in half so that they fit snuggly on our forearms. i just covered them up with leftover fabric from the vests and put a strap on them XD i plan on removing the fabric and extending the armguards a bit more though, shape it better since i was rushing when i made these XD

Hahaha! Wow! Thanks for telling me! I'm a cheap person so this gave me a good idea on how to make the armguards. I'm planning to dress up as ANBU for halloween this year!

no i made them up. i didint want the plain anbu masks, cuz our costumes were gonna be in the maskerade so i was making them really detailed

well i made the mask.^^ what i do is i buy a plain white mask at w.e art store is in your area, mine was MICHEAL`S. And then go to toys r us, or again an art store, then buy 2 packs of `Crayola model magic`its like a white foamy playdoh. it comes in a bunch of colors, but you want white X3
then you open both packs, roll it into a ball then use a roller to flatten it to about half an inch. it should look like a BIG flat circle. then you ligthly place it over the mask, dont push it in or anything. any left over foam that passes over the edge of the mask, cut it off, and use those leftover to make your ears
use your fingers to gently press down on the spot where the eyes are, clean it make it look nice and smooth
then you stick your ears on just like that, and let it all dry, or you can let them dry up seperately (mask and ears) then glue them on with super glue when they`re hard.
it takes 16-24 hours to dry up completely, them you can start painting!

i used Crayola Model magic ^_^ white of course. for each mask, you need 2 packs. and also you need a plain white face mask :3 you can get both at either a Micheal's or Toys R' us
or what ever art store you have where you are >:3 if you need anymore info just ask X3
