Description A quick study of the arm anatomy, some errors are intended and I am well aware of them, such as the long forearm, probably the position of the Braqui-Radialis etc etc some are not intended however.

Sculpted in Zbrush rendered in Lightwave Layout.

Need to learn on how to render in Vray or MentalRay or whatever, they save a lot with the materials, any good tutorials out there you would like to recommend?

cheers

This is really cool! I love the stylistic nature of the sculpt I think a lot of great artists choose to keep a stylistic over realistic approach to their anatomy, such as Street Fighter's 50 layers of muscles This kinda reminds me of it. Awesome piece!

This would actually be pretty cool as a statue, or like a handle for something, lol.

looks like the elbow part may be a little to thin in profile, don't you think? And also the "brachioradialis muscle" and "extensor carpi radialis longus" looks a little to big where they attach at the humerus.

ah yeah you're right. I was wondering what was wrong with it for so long x.x
Definitely agree with you there as well, I always tend to exaggerate the brachioradialis and especially the little dent below the extensor carpi radialis longus (when the arm is extended to it's fullest).

Awesome! Really nice detail of the arm and muscles!

Too bad I'm always fighting with Maya to figure out the lighting or else I could help in that part. Digital-Tutorials is an option but it looks like you are able to use for free if you're enrolled in a school that has a group with them or else you  need to pay around $60 per month...? I found another called The Gnomon Workshop seems to have a few free tutorials if you sign up for an account but not sure if they'll have the right ones you're looking for. Sorry I can't be more specific in helping find a useful tutorial for you.

im not in one of those so im pirating, sorry folks but who isn't these days

my issue is that Scott Eaton made a maya render scene availiable and I can't get the proper render settings to work correctly

Makes sense. I'll be out of classes soon (graduating) so I'm going to lose access to them myself. I probably should start finding ways of saving tutorials for future use...

Ah, I see. Yah, that's still something I really need to work on myself so I won't be much help after all >A<

Punch that ground!  Punch it!

Because fuck that ground!  My massive arms will punch it until it cries!

...okay, maybe it's not punching.  Punching with those knuckles would break my own fist and cause pain and such.

...but my arms are cool, right?

Yes, very cool.

Very cool!
