Description
At the start of season 2 of Beast Wars, the Maximals and Predacons are hit with a wave of energy coming from the destruction of an alien device. This wave of energy affected the members of each team that were not "born" on Earth. So, Airazor, Tigatron, Blackarachnia and Inferno were not affected, but everyone else, plus the remaining stasis pods were upgraded. They became what they called Transmetal.Two of the stasis pods that landed on Earth after the explosion malfunction when finding beast modes for the protoforms inside. This resulted in the protoforms having beast modes that fused two animals. They were called Fuzors. One joined the Predacons because he didn't know better and eventually switched to the Maximals. The chivalrous Silverbolt. His beast mode mixed a wolf and an eagle. The other stayed with the Predacons. The rootin tootin Quickstrike. His beast mode was a mix of a cobra and a scorpion.
(Ravage is not Transmetal. He showed up towards the end of season 2.)
