Description

A firewood shelter recently needed rebuilding, so I had it made with some extra long beams so I could have fun carving them. There is to be a similar, but not identical, dragon head on the other end as well. It was my first time carving outside, which was a lot of fun. I got to do some duets with woodpeckers, a call-and-response with my mallet. Halfway through the project there was a surprise snowstorm on Mother's day (see inset lower right). The wood is probably spruce, it sure gave off a nice Christmas scent as I worked with it.
