Description Showcasing some of the members of the deadly secretive ninja organization, bent on changing the world!

Left to right:
Red Claw, Red Hood, Red Robin, Red X, Red Dart II.

Akaite no Yubi (Fingers of The Red Hand):

The clandestine shinobi organization known as The Red Hand has operated in the shadows for decades.  The group has their own agenda, that they push either as benefactors (The Red Palm) or sanctioners (The Red Fist).  Each member is referred to as one of the 5 Fingers of Death or Life, depending on the current focus of the group.  Red Hand members are bound to the organization for life.  The only way they are allowed freedom once inducted is if they find a willing replacement that is skilled enough to take their place in the group, and all are expected to take their secrets with them to the grave.  Onishusoku brokered the safe release of Red Canary (who was sent by him to infiltrate the group to learn more about them) by bringing the group, Black Talon (who became Red Talon) of the Blackbird Clan.  Red Jester (who became The Joker) left to pursue his own agenda after bringing in Redwing (who became Red Hood) from the Shadowwing Clan.  Red Hood sought to have his brother Nightwing take his place, but his fellow Batclan shinobi, Robin (who became Red Robin), agreed to take his place; feeling that Nightwing would finally succumb to the darkness within if he became a member of the group.
After thinking the organization disbanded, Robin (Tomi Komodori) is approached by the exiled Batclan member Red Hood; who has been attempting to make up for his misdeeds and reclaim his honor by helping others.  He reveals that the former leader of the group, Red Queen has returned from the pocket dimension known as Wonderland and reformed The Red Hand.   Comprised of new and former members to carry out an event that would not only end all life in the Hidden Regions as they know it, but threatens the rest of the outside world as well.  To stop them, Tomi and Jotaro recruit former members of the organization forming a second Red Hand group, hoping to stop them…at all costs:

Red Claw: Amba Kadiri
Former clan: Catclan

Orphaned daughter of a thugee cult assassin and a catclan kunoichi, Amba grew up feeling like an outsider.  Her cousin, Hanonemaru was the only person she could relate to growing up.  Amba’s mother had an identical twin sister who had a secret love affair with a samurai.  Hanonemaru was the child of that union; although it was established by his mother that he was conceived from a recently fallen shinobi.  When the twins’ father discovered the true parentage of his grandson, he put a hit out on his daughter.  He’d tasked Amba’s father with the mission, who mistakenly killed his own wife.  He did not discover the fatal error until he returned to the clan estate and saw his target with the children.  He confessed in his grief and she lashed out at him, forcing him to take her life.  He then took his own in despair.  Amba was raised by members of her grandfather’s household, as he could not even look at her without a reminder of what he’d done.  Within the clan, she came to be known as Steel Claw, and she devised a scheme on taking the place of Catman's mother in order to facilitate getting close to his father and attempting taking over the clan for herself.   She has always had an awkward relationship with current Catclan leader, Katashi Nekojin aka Catman.  She exploited his attraction to her to get close to his father and then drive a wedge between the two.   Although she is older than Katashi, she was closer to his age than she was his father; whom she seduced into wanting to be her husband.  She still continues to manipulate Catman by insisting he call her “Mother” when they run into each other.  Afterhaving completed the ritual to bond with his ancestor’s spirits to achieve his “9 Lives”; he often has flashbacks of his father’s time with her physically.  Visually recalling the encounters of her in the throes of passion, he truly suffers from a Love/Hate connection with her.   When her deeds were discovered, she was ousted from the clan and made a fugitive.  As a member of the ruling family, she’d acquired and mastered the clan’s signature Chi Talon ninjutsu technique; with hers now having a distinctive red glow.

- Steel Claw was the name of an obscure Batman villain. I decided to make this her name prior to joining the Red Hand.
- Amba Kadiri was Steel Claw’s real name.  I decided to give her this name as Red Claw had no other alias.  The glowing hand also came from her.
- Hanonemaru becomes Steel Fang; who is based on the obscure DC character, Red Fang…three guesses where this is heading.
- Similar to Neji and Hinata Hyuuga; technically, Amba and Hanonemaru are biologically half—siblings as their mothers have identical DNA.
- Hanone is Japanese for fang.
- Steel Fang turned against his clan and the entire Shinobi Order after his mother was killed.  He became lost and eventually came under the tutelage of the Yotsukonin master, Kirigi-Sensei.
- Kirigi understood that Steel Fang was against the Order, but was only concerned about the warrior he could craft.
- Every leader of the Catclan undergoes a ritual in which 8 of his ancestors’ spirits are bound to his own, giving him the benefit of their experience, skills, and physical strength. This also allows the leader to have “nine lives”; when a fatal injury is incurred, one of the attached spirits is loosed rather than the clan leader dying.  He loses that ancestor’s attributes, but survives.
- As a result of the spirit bonding, Catman can not have a sexual encounter with his wife, Catwoman without reliving his father’s encounters with his mother.  This occurred the first and final time they mated, during the consuamation of their marriage and the conception of their son, Wildcat.

Red Hood: Jotaro Kagehane
Former clan: Shadowwing Clan

As one of two surviving members of the Shadowwing Clan Massacre, alongside his younger brother, Nightwing (Daisuke Kagehane); Jotaro Kagehane (as Redwing) was made the apprentice of the up and coming shinobi phenomenon known as,  Batman.   The Batman was persuaded to take Redwing as an apprentice as he was too out of control for his own clan and had been sent to the League of Shadows.  Onishusoku mentioned the difficulties the boy was posing and The Shadow of the Bat took him under his wing.  Redwing never had a clue how close he came to being taken out because of his stubbornness, and continued to be a handful with his new sensei.  In following his own rules, he wound up caught in a trap set by a masked assassin, and held for ransom.   The ransom demand was not met, as the boy’s clan considered him expendable; believing one life was not worth what was being asked of them to part with.  The assassin made an ominous statement regarding the life expectancy of the clan, and that none of them would ever see Jotaro alive again...  Meanwhile, Batman had been investigating leads which led him to the lair where Redwing was being held.  By the time Batman had arrived, he had come across Jotaro’s battered and lifeless body.  He cradled him; long enough to feel there was no heartbeat in the boy.  A noise alerted him that he was not alone and in the distance he saw the silhouette of a figure holding a metal rod, dripping blood, before hearing an almost demonic sinister laugh.  The enraged Batman jumped up and chased after the assailant and as soon as he had mad it outside of the facility, the building exploded.  Jotaro’s body was never recovered, but the weapon that bludgeoned him to death was confirmed to have his blood on it.  A week later, the entire Shadowwing clan was wiped out, except for Nightwing.  What the rest of the world was unaware of was that, the Red Hand retrieved and revived Redwing when Joker lured Batman out of the building.  Joker had completed his requirements to extricate himself from the organization with his acts and his silence.  Jotaro was taken out of the region to heal and wound up in a secret location.  A monastery filled with warrior monks granted with physical gifts and longevity through mystical means and knowledge.  After a long convalescence, Jotaro trained with the monks of the society who were only referred to as, The All Caste.  Eventually the Red Hand returned for their newest recruit to continue their secret agenda of changing the world.

-  This version of Red Hood’s design is based on Deviantartist; Jarein’s Red Hood x Assassin’s Creed.
- I wanted Red Hood to be updated and have some means of redemption so that he could be included in the clan like he is in the comics
- The identification on the blood analysis came from A-komoriyasha, as he verified it was Jotaro’s blood from smelling it.  The demon bat acts in some capacity as Batman’s supercomputer in this universe.
- The All Caste is a group from the New 52 that Red Hood resided with after his resurrection from the Lazarus Pit.
- The MDCU All Caste are the warrior monks that defended the monastery that was buried in the ice by Onishusoku on the way to the Iwa Naga Springs.  After taking over the survivors of the band of slaves, scholars, monks, and raiders; Onishusoku tasked the recovery of the monastery to the group that eventually became The All Caste.
- Red Hood’s vendetta with Batman is that he blames him for all the horrific things that he’s had to commit and endure all as a result of him not being a better sensei and saving him from his own stupidity.   His goal with his apprentices; Hush, Huntress, and Azrael was to show that he could be a better sensei to them than Batman was to him.
- Eventually he begins to accept responsibility for his own actions which starts him on his road to redemption.  He will see how he failed his apprentices and attempt to correct it by taking on the unstable victim of Kamen No Shikai member Professor Pyg; the kunoichi , Crimson.
- Red Hood received the information regarding Red Queen’s plans from All Caste member, Essence.

Red Robin: Tomi Komodori
Former clan: Batclan

Tomi spent a lot of time on the streets as a youth.  He developed his resourcefulness as a result of his circumstances and when the time came to become a pupil of The Batman in the newly formed Batclan, he was the least physically skilled of the three genin.  Nightwing had trained as a shinobi all his life; partly under the Kagehane clan, and some under the League of Shadows.  Batgirl was a classically trained gymnast, but observed her father’s samurai training for years.  For the most part Tomi trained himself; as did Kaitsuki and Daisuke…that is until Batman took over their training.  Since Tomi was the least skilled physically, he always tried to push to show he was just as good as the others, not fully realizing that his strength was in his resourcefulness and intellectual ability.  Where Nightwing reminded Batman of his Shinobi training, and Batgirl his Samurai upbringing; Robin represented Batman’s keen detective skills and analytical mind.  Tomi didn’t see this and constantly fought with Daisuke as Nightwing didn’t shy away from making himself feel superior, based on his skill level.  This fighting led to an intense rivalry where Nightwing would start to feel the need to push himself further when he saw Robin developing, catching up to him, and potentially surpassing him.  The constant fighting led to Batman banishing both shinobi from the Batcaves until they could get along and learn responsibility.  They spent six months outside of the borders of Hitoshirenu, and during this time helped form the Teen Titans.  Both lead a squad of four with Robin in charge of; magical warrior, Wondergirl Cassieopeia, Hyperlinked speedsuit pilot, Impulse, and cloned Kryptonian martial artist, Superboy.  Nightwing led magical warrior, Wondergirl Troia, undersea samurai apprentice, Aqualad, and hypersuit pilot, Zoom.  After learning to appreciate their master’s difficulties in dealing with them, and spending time hanging out as friends, the two headed home only to find Batman and Batgirl missing.  Robin went after Batgirl who had been taken by Killer Croc, while Nightwing tracked down Batman; who was kidnapped by “the one responsible for the Kagehane massacre” as told to them by The Demon Bat.  Nightwing assumed this was Joker, as all evidence at that time led to him as the culprit.  It was then that he discovered it was really the sensei of their shinobi rivals, The Red Hood.  Even more revelations were in store when they all learned that Red Hood was none other than Daisuke’s brother, Jotaro.  After making all the strides they had in their relationship and knowing what it would do to him, Robin chose to take Nightwing’s place in the Red Hand that Red Hood was proposing; to facilitate his safe exit from the group.  His first solo mission as Red Robin sent him to China to shadow a master martial artist, Rahul Lama. He was quickly discovered and surprisingly taken into his target’s home.  He learned healing techniques from the old master while learning martial arts from his grandson.  While there, he discovered some shady transactions involving Snakepit; the organized crime group lead by King Snake, and the local branch of the Chinese Triads, so he decided to try and stop them.  His involvement led to the death of master Rahul and his grandson.  King Snake then wished to test the young shinobi’s skills himself and the two began fighting.  However, Lady Shiva had been pursuing her former Wu Xing brother also, seeking retribution for their Master, O-Sensei.  Lady Shiva interrupted the fight between Red Robin and King Snake, saving the young shinobi’s life.  She recognized the potential that Red Robin had in martial arts, and decided to train him herself.  She also offered to teach him how to use his weapon of his choice, the bo staff.  While training with Shiva, he was still investigating Snakepit.   One of the triad’s enforcers was tasked with tracking him down and taking him out after one of the high ranking Snakepit Black Adders failed to complete the task.  She was a freelance Catclan kunoichi named, Lynx.  Red Robin survived the attempt on his life and escaped.  Towards the end of his training, Lady Shiva and Tomi had a sparring match in which Tomi defeated her with the bo staff techniques she taught him.   Now confident he was prepared to take on King Snake, they tracked down the Triads, and discovered King Snake planned to release a plague.  Red Robin and Lady Shiva were led to the location by Lynx, who was secretly working undercover to take down the triads.  Robin and King Snake fought again, but this time the outcome was different.  Using the training he had received he was able to not only survive, but get the upper hand on the Blind snake style master.  While King Snake was hanging onto the building helplessly, Shiva orders Tomi to kill him in order to "graduate".  Despite Shiva's order, he refused to kill King Snake.  Red Robin returned to the Red Hand and spent the next two years with the group before returning home to Goth-Ahm prefecture.

- As Tomi is the MDCU representative of Naruto, I gave him a similar correlation to his shinobi peers.
- Robin had to make some hard decisions as a member of the Red Hand.  However, as much as he stuck to his principles, he still became comrades of a sort with them as he had to place his life in their hands and vice versa…despite maintaining a measure of distrust the whole time.
- By the time Robin goes off with the Red Hand, he and Nightwing are damn near equals.  The time they spend away, they both increase in ability, and have learned to master the weapon of the other.
- He doesn’t discuss his time with the group
- Because Tomi was initially sent to take out Master Rahul Lama and acquire his secret techniques, he was credited as completing his mission as a result of his death.
- After their sparring match, Shiva presented Tomi with a gift; she had upgraded Daisuke’s Escrima so that they could connect and expand into a full bo staff.
- Lynx was in Paris in her capacity as a Catclan Houndhunter; a division that tracks down errant members of the exiled Houndclan and dispatches them.  This is why she was chosen to locate Tomi.
- When Red Robin returned to report back to the Red Hand, he discovered that Red X secretly spied on him during the entire time he was in China.  It was he who reported to Red Claw that Tomi had sanctioned his target after acquiring his secrets.  If he had said otherwise, Tomi would’ve been assassinated on the spot.  Plus, since he felt responsible for their deaths (since it was his involvement in King Snake’s affairs that got them killed), he was convincing when asked.
- In the original story when Robin trained with Rahul Lama, it took place in Paris.  I decided to make it China to reflect off of the origin of King Snake and Lady Shiva’s training in Chinese kung fu on top of their shinobi training.  Also, since Lynx was Chinese, it just made sense for it to all be in one location.

Red X:
Former clan: Enigma Clan

As is the norm for his clan, not much is known about the shinobi Red X.  He became a member of The Red Hand some time after Red Hood, replacing his partner; Red Jack.  Red X’s suit can harness the unstable element, Xenothium to do a wide variety of things.  This includes: shuriken, close combat blades, restraints, portals, and energy blasts.  His motives are always a mystery as well as his allegiances.  When Red Robin becomes his new partner, X frequently goes between going out of his way to help him, and leaving him hanging when he needs assistance.

- Red Jack was one of the original members of the Red Hand; alongside Red Queen, Red Diamond, Red Orchid (Min Jie-Ru) and Red King (Darrin Profitt).
- I wanted Red X and Red Robin to be partners in the Red Hand due to their connection on the Teen Titans animated series.
- I chose Red X and Red Hood to be partners as it was highly theorized that the identity of Red X was Jason Todd.
- As “X” is considered the “unknown quantity” in mathematics, I decided to make him a member of the Enigma clan.  It fit in well, as there is so much mystery surrounding the character and his inherent nature.
- At some point, I decided that since the Red Hand is the MDCU version of the Akatsuki from Naruto, they would have renounced members of the established shinobi clans in a similar fashion.
- Red X’s design comes from a fellow deviant artist…I can’t locate the name of which.  I altered next to nothing.

Red Dart II:
Former clan: Assassin Clan

Younger sister of the killed in action Red Dart I; Red Dart II is not sentimental about her brother’s death, but can not let it go unanswered.  She suspended all of her current contracts until she has acquired retribution.  She is not as skilled with the darts as her brother was, but she makes up for it in volume through use of her Gatling Grieves.

- Had to have some casualties, so Red Dart I takes an “L” at some point.
- Red Dart II is based on the New 52 version that was an enemy of Green Arrow.
- She has an open Naruto style flak jacket to mimic the mainstream version’s vest.
- I also gave her some costume similarities to the original to show a connection.
- Red Queen will recruit; Red Talon (Society of Owls), Red Canary (Blackbird Clan), Red Jester (Assassin clan), and Red Retriever (Houndclan).
