Continuing the manga JLA yet again...This time, elaborating on the original idea for a manga inspired batman:

- The notes that came with the character's revised origin no longer exist, but long story short:
"Buru-Su Wein watched his parents get murdered in front of him by a trio of masked ninja swordsmen. he trained with an old samurai in a defunct dojo, and eventually took up the mantle of Batman. Has an aversion to swords like Bruce has to guns."
- I did a few story revisions on my version. Changed Batman's name to Komori Watanabe. More of which can be found in the MangaJLA and DCU pics. I decided to use Naruto as inspiration for the Ninja themed Batman's apprentices.
Nightwing- Dick Grayson (Sasuke)
Robin - Tim Drake (Naruto)
Batgirl - Barbara Gordon (Sakura)
In my vision, Nightwing is the sole survivor a clan that was eradicated. Robin is an orphaned street urchin, and Batgirl is the daughter of the Fuedal Lord's captain of the Imperial Guard. I've got ideas for other Gotham inspired ninja squads as well.

Batman's civilian life must be a NIGHTMARE. Unlike his American counterpart where his chin is the only thing visible, Bruce's costume not only reveals his hair and top of his face, but also the very distinct streak of gray (possibly brought upon by his traumatic experience).
Then again, he IS a master of disguise. Maybe he hides it under a hat...or people just don't care that he's a ninja.

For a split-second I thought you meant by "ninja art" that Bruce literally obscures himself with paintings of ninjas.
I do like the idea of Batman being the leader of a ninja clan and the little touches you made to his origin (The horse being an homage to Zorro is my favorite since it counts as a double-homage to Batman's inspiration). It definitely seems like a well thought-out "Elseworlds" story.
MY headcanon, though? Batman wears a domino mask and a hat when he masquerades as Bruce Wayne, and ditches them for the mouth-obscuring bandanna as Batman. That way nobody sees both halves of his head, making it harder to connect the two.

High praise! Wish I could take credit...this was one of 's original designs that were the progenitors of the MJLA/MDCU. The most I did with this particular design was to lean away from the samurai inspired pants and make them more ninja-like. But I appreciate the comment, and mirror your sentiment!
