It's been a couple of years now, but drawings like this one remind me of the development I underwent, both artistically and personally. I was known for my dramatic, sad and dark characters, terrifying lines of poetry and introspective wandering into my own world of shadows. When I finally emerged I was no longer a teenager nor a terribly young adult and along with me came the spur of colour, which my recent art shows completely. Also, I gathered a handful of peaceful, content and contemplative characters whose expressions and still empty eyes baffle me. Previously, I drew them without mouths to speak with, slowly they are developing eyes to see with.
Instead of her two eyes, the Empress is gifted with a third one. May she see all the shadows keep.
