I promised not to show this piece until after the event it was commissioned for had passed, and now I believe it's officially safe for me to reveal. So here you go - Doctor Who fan-art by me, in technicolour! Woo!
This was done as a commission piece for a friend who wanted a special birthday card design for one of his mates (who happens to be a lady Whovian).
When it came to the theme I was told that my interpretation of the (John Simm) Master and the Tenth Doctor would probably go down well...
and also that I could probably hint at an underlying 'shounen ai' motif. Ohoho! 
Well, I decided to make it quite lighthearted and fun since it was a birthday piece, and thought it would be nice to have the Doctor and Master acting like they're enjoying each other's company, whilst looking invitingly towards the viewer. 
I have affectionately nicknamed this the "Hugs Tiem MasterCard".

this is great! You did a great job on cartooning them and successfully getting their likenesses right at the same time! And the whole lightheartedness thing is really good here, it's good to see a well done pic of the doctor and the master that isn't chibi, angsty, or slashy.

You got their particulars perfectly while still making them your own, I really love that. Not just their physical features, either - their characters. Which is scary good. Well done.
