Sorry for this late reply.
~I have one question. How is Jesus Christ dying a sacrifice? God made him for the SOLE purpose of dying.~
Jesus wasn’t “made”. He is God (Colossians 2:9, Titus 2:13).
Eternal (Revelation 22:13, Isaiah 40:28) and creator (John 1:3), not created.
His sole purpose wasn’t to die. His purpose is to save and to do away with sin (Hebrews 9:26, 1 John 3:8).
God the father, God the son, and God the Holy Spirit have the same purpose; they just have different roles.
Jesus’ role in the salvation plan is as mediator (John 14:6), advocate (1 John 2:1), high priest (Hebrews 4:14).
~Also, their was 0 damage done to God or Jesus.~
What Kind of damage were you expecting? Or are you referring to?
I believe their suffering is enough (in Jesus case there was also physical suffering).
~All god did was send Jesus down to earth, made his mortal body die, then god gets him back for eternity.
A sacrifice would be Jesus dying, and getting permanently erased, but no. God gets him right back. That's more of a loan than anything.~
That wouldn’t be a sacrifice. That would just be a meaningless waste.
Also a loan is: "the act of lending; a grant of the temporary use of something" and the promises that result from Jesus' sacrifice aren't temporary, so no His dead wasn't a loan.
Like the regular dictionary and etymology dictionary say, Sacrifice is:
---“to surrender or give up, or permit injury or disadvantage to, for the sake of something else.”
---"act of giving up one thing for another; something given up for the sake of another"
Because of sin, we were condemned to die. An eternal death.
Jesus came to break that cycle of eternal death.
How?
'...sin is the transgression of the law' (1 John 3:4) and 'the wages of sin is death' (Romans 6:23)
So there was a debt. If we paid it (by dying) that was it, we were eternally dead. We can’t clean a sin with sin. That would’ve been a victory for sin (since death is a consequence of sin). And that would just go against all that God is; His plans, purpose, and character.
So we needed someone sinless to clean/do away sin. That was Jesus. He promised eternal life (contrary to what sin brings).
So a sinless person dies, successfully breaking the cycle of eternal death. But how can we know the cycle was broken? How can we know the promise of eternal life was real? How do we know the sacrifice worked? By having a demonstration = a resurrection.
That’s why Jesus resurrected: because he was sinless, and a sinless person can’t stay dead, especially if the cycle of eternal death was broken. That’s how we know if we choose God over sin we will receive eternal life, because Jesus already made the demonstration.
"For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.” ~1 Corinthians 15:21
Jesus death and resurrection resulted in the promise of salvation/eternal life (that eve if we die, if we chose God we will receive life) and ultimately this will lead us to the eradication of sin; a sinless universe (like it was in the beginning).
With that act victory over death and sin is assured.
Even if you don’t believe, but are interested in knowing more about Jesus’ sacrifice and all the meanings behind it, I wrote this short piece that you can read if you want: nilopher.deviantart.com/art/Je…
