Something I noted a while back, there seem to be a number of Christians who are intent to control every aspect of our lives. From so called "morality" based legislation, to condemnation of actions, and in some cases of simply who we are naturally, to something as simple as what media we are allowed access to.I cannot count the number of times I've been told that "I need God" Well this is my statement of finality. I DO NOT. I am a non-Christian. I am HAPPY as a non-Christian. I do not need you, your religion, or your particular brand of control.

Hear hear to that. I believe in a being higher than us, but when the humans use it to controle others, influence their lives, tell them basically what to do. And then go so far ast to put false accusations on even children because they are diffrent. Thats when your religion fails. Epically.

The reason I have that signature is because of people like you on this website who have tried to silence me countless times just because I differ in opinion on a few subjects. If my signature isn't speaking some sort of truth, you probably would not have said anything about it. I did not leave a comment that said "F you" or anything of the sort. I merely meant that I am sorry he views all Christians in this light and that to him automatically being a Christian means you want to kill all those who oppose you and convert every person they see, because in reality that is not the case. This stamp is only spreading around more hate. And I thought hate was something not to encourage.

My disagreement with your views does not equate to my wishing to silence them. I would not sink to that level, unlike so many that proudly proclaim to be "Christian."
But when someone's response to disagreement is a condescending "I'm sorry you feel that way." there's only one way most people will take that. And if you don't like that perception, perhaps you should stop spamming things like THIS with things like THAT, and actually do something to prevent and change that.
And I stand by my assertion that your signature is immature and hypocritical, especially with that stupid, childish smiley tacked onto it. I would not have made note of it if it had said something like "The First Amendment guarantees freedom of speech for EVERYONE, not just the people who agree with you." I read through our argument and I have a couple things to say.
Though we've just had a heated argument, I still hope the best for you. And if that sounds condescending to you, then I'm sorry, it's not meant to be. I never claimed to be Christian, sweetheart, because I'm not. But I personally do hate it when people act like real assholes (like you) and use the "you're being a bad Christian" card everytime someone of religion stands up against someone who is being hateful, i.e you. Believe or not, they actually are human, they actually have feelings, and most of them are pretty decent people. Are there bad Christians? Sure, I've seen them all the time. But what you jerk-offs are doing is lumping them all into one category and assuming that if you are a Christian, you are automatically a mean, shove-my-religion-down-your-throat person.

And, yes, I DO use the "Bad Christian" card. You know why? Because I KNOW GOOD Christians. A good many of my closest FRIENDS are Christian, and my FAMILY is overwhelmingly Christian, my dear. When someone is acting poorly, I will TELL THEM. And I will be BLUNT. I see no particular need to be subtle just because of someone's age or experience or whathaveyou. Ergo, if a Christian isn't acting Christlike, I will TELL THEM so because they deserve to be called out on that, just like ANY OTHER member of ANY OTHER religious group who is being a poor example of the faith they follow. If it soothes your angry little heart any, I've called nasty atheists, Hindus, and various pagans out on their misbehavior, too. And hey, guess what else? When confronted with how poorly they were reflecting on their particular groups, all but THREE backed off, realized what they were doing, apologized, and things smoothed over with no hard feelings on either side. And the three that didn't back down? Were an atheist, a Hindu, and a Christian, all of them extremely irrational and hateful, and let me just say, no one with two brain cells to rub together wants to be lumped in with individuals like them. But you, my dear, are coming very close.

So I hardly find it logical or proper for one to preach about politeness in the face of adversity when one does not practice it themselves by being "honest" or "blunt."
