Considering the rook is the most strait-forward piece in chess, I'd say it's pretty accurate.

Flowers failed due to lack of knowledge about the allergy. Cloud crafting failed due to interference. The gem failed because.....wait, if Spumoni can't put a gem anywhere in her home because she lives on a cloud, then where do they put anything in Cloudsdale? Or does Spumoni literally live on a cloud, and not in a cloud home? *suddenly gets an idea of where this story might be going*

So far Spumoni knows that Rook is hot and is very driven. People have gone out with each other for less but to get through to her and show her that he is for real, Rook is going to have to get creative. Something unique to him would be a good starting point, not that played out stuff Breakneck was suggesting. He shows her a display of his strength I think it would at the very least get her attention. Out of curiosity, is Rook's strength something he was born with or something that he tempered through training? Either way I am sure he would never be satisfied with any level of strength he achieved since one could never be too strong when it comes to protecting loved ones. Oh, and the comic is good too. I really like your work.

I love everything about this page. Everything except Spumoni's argument about the gem. Just because she lives on/in a could doesn't mean she can't have possessions. In-show examples of Dash's cloud house and Cloudsdale we have seen Wooden doors build into could architecture and that one time we saw Dash's room her could bed had a blanket (i think).
Given that magical land ponies live in there could be any number of ways to build solids into clouds: wood harvested from trees that grow on mountain tops, cloth with pegasus tail hair woven into it, or just stuff that has been enchanted by unicorns.
I'm just saying that there are a number or ways a cloud house could have a few shelves.

You're right, but she's finding excuses to reject him. Consider that something has to happen for this to work: An enchantment or something. Maybe it's expensive to get them 1000 years ago. Who knows?
