Donnie based on the new Nickelodeon TV series.I'm curious to see how this show turns out. I saw the trailer and I have to say I don't hate it... so far.

Nicks rendition of Donnie is pretty likeable. At first I was turned off to his height and gap tooth but then I started to love it. Now, it's hard to imagine him any other way.

It never really bothered me when I first saw it but I've actually grown to love it because it gives him character. I didn't think I'd care much for the new TV series but I very much enjoy it. It's refreshing and fun.

Haha, you just did so well that i got really confused when I looked it on my watchlist like : "oh wait what's an official art doing here, or who..whut...?" Took me a while to just read the NAME to figure it out. ^^'
So even though i'm not fan of the new design, I have to say you nailed it 100% and really nice job on the colours, textures, shading and everything.

I'll admit, the style is more simple but the series could be fun. Keep in mind, we have the new live action movie to look forward to or not depending on how you feel about Michael Bay being involved with it.

I don't have issue with the simplicity (you know ^^). just the overall feeling somehow. But I might give it a try when it comes out.

I just watched Transformers 3 and it just reminded me - again - how that guy has no common sense at all and his movies are just a mass of randomness in a very bad way. X'(
But I can't help but will watch eventually anyway, just won't hope for anything, I MIGHT not get disapointed this way XD;

That's one way to look at it. I didn't hate the Transformers movies but then again, I wasn't a diehard fan so I don't know what he butchered and what he didn't. TMNT however is another story. If they butcher it, I'll know.

I'm also not a die hard fan of TF, I only saw the old cartoon movie. I liked that but aside that I don't know much about events or characters so my expectations were more towards the story/movie itself than the "fandom-expectations".
But I won't start to ramble about it, it can get quite lenghty ^^'
But no, I didn't HATE (the 1st movie) but was unhappy with a few things that more was about the issue of storytelling and focus of the story. The other two movies...are better on some acpects that I missed from the 1st (more actual action and robots) but got worse on other things where the 1st is better (lame, forced jokes, unneccesary embarassing situations, unreasonable acts, chaotic motivations and such). That's my opinion at least.
So I'm not looking for the TMNT movie with much expecation or excitement with Bay as a director. The only thing I hope still is that I will like the characters, they don't get OOC and have some cool actions in it~
If I'll get that from the movie I probably won't hate it whatever else he screwes up in it XD

Point taken. He's not directing just producing so there is hope. I'm just looking for something a little more realistic and more mature than what we had before. The up side to it is that Paramount pushed it back to rework the script so I hope they work all the kinks out before they go into production. Only time will tell if the movie stinks but as it stands, there's not enough info out there to come to that conclusion.

Hm, even though I'll be fine if it's another "kid's show" again... Now you mention I would REALLY love if there was sth more serious with them indeed. But I'm having doubts on it seeing how it went during the years, the tendency is quite the opposite.

Maybe people aren't too fond of it to put up fan art or it just hasn't caught on yet. The style is a bit simplistic but no more so than "Penguins of Madagascar" and "Kung Fu Panda Legends of Awesomeness". I just hope the stories and execution is well thought out with a nice blend of everything and not just a bunch of mindless goofiness. Come Fall, we'll see if Nick knows what they're doing.
