Artist Comment: We're finally done with this huge trip! And somehow Charles shrunk again.. but I'm beyond caring at this point. In consolation, have a cute, tiny beach house on stilts.

They were finished! It was the last few miles of the last leg of the race, and wind and cold had been traded for sun and sand. Wendy seemed to have caught her fifth wind, tossing her mane and refusing to go slower than a canter. Charles let her run - she deserved a bit of joy after their trip.

He was so proud of her. She had performed beautifully, had never backed down from a challenge or strange situation. She was game and hardy and smart, and Charles felt something shift within himself. Savvy would always hold a special place in his heart, because they would always share hunts and jumping shows together. But Wendy was a new love. He suddenly and undeniably fell in love with her: her sweet, unwavering disposition and immeasurable drive. There was so much in her that reminded him of the other woman he loved best, and the man smiled. His two great loves had brown hair.
