You're on the right path, noone should start out digitally as you need to get a good grip on traditional media and feel confident before braving digital painting. They are very different.

I love the final one! The dark colours and his amazing scarf are fab, and I think his face tattoos are amazing. The birds in the background are a nice addition, and the varied colouring of his hat and cloak are great. ^_^
