I was supposed to finish this on my birthday but it didn't happen and I haven't had time again until today, so here it is.
It's a flatboard canvas, 12x10", oil paints.
I'll probably sell this at LAC. I would have put it straight on Etsy but I've been having some problems with etsy recently. For some reason I'm being charged for paying back my bills so I don't want to put anything else up until I've figured out where the charge is coming from and why.
I'm sorry for the bad quality of the photograph. I've tried to sort it out in photoshop but there's only so much I can do. There is just nowhere at my house that doesn't throw a shadow or cast a bright light, and it being winter there's not enough natural light during the day either. I'm getting kind of sick of it to be honest :L

I particularly like your wolf and your quirky style of drawing dragons. My wisdom to you is to keep observing the anatomy of real animals, whether it be lizards or dogs or ferrets, and use that observation to create your dragons to help to make them as realistic as possible.
Besides this, you're well on your way to creating mythical creatures! X)

Thanks for the info! Well, the lava dragon took me about a day to do, while the ice dragon, well, I did it in the morning in 30 minutes... ya... And thanks for liking my stuff... I'll get better. I'm not much of a painter, and using colored pencils makes it harder in some ways. I'm not sure what to draw next... I don't want to draw another dragon. Suggestions?

I've been feeling a little demotivated recently. I have my head stuck on one particular painting I want to do and I know I don't have time to do it at the moment

Ya, I'm thinking about doing a fish, maybe a shark? An eel? I dunno. Some sort of fish. I am interested in turtles, but I can't draw them. The shell ends up looking like a, I don't even know!

Oooo, that gave me an idea! I began drawing a wierd fish, and now it's turning into my own made up creature! And so far, I have two almost drawn. Should I use colored pencils or paint when I finish with pencil?

I'm trying to broaden my dragon sphere of paintings, but right now its just the initial ideas to get down. I sketch stuff out in my little pad X) I should probably do another pheonix sometime though, I do like them I just find fire damn hard to paint

Don't be afraid to mess up, experimenting is the key to success and everyone has their bad days. Just have fun with it and try it out once or twice to get the feel of it. Heck this painting didnt go as planned at all so the idea I have in my head is going to use the elements I failed at, lol

Are you kiddin me? Your painting are perfect! Mine are just, blah, they don;t even look realistic! What paints do you use? The only paints I have in my house are water color.

Youd be surprised about how many mistakes artists make during the creation of their image and what they do to make it work
Tubed watercolours are what I started out in and they're the best to learn with. Currently I use acrylics, although this one was an oil painting. Like I said, we all have to practice and experiment sometime!
