This originally was a small sketch where I just wanted to draw Red Alert sleeping, and then the internet decided to disappear and I had no real screen shot or anything of Red Alert and the TV was taken so I couldn’t bring myself to claim it just so I could freeze the screen just to get him right so, this one here has many flaws but please bear with me. I know his hose/cannon is on the right shoulder but then we wouldn’t see his face and mirrored the image just disturbed the feel of it , perhaps he is able to switch sides with it <.<

The little cut he has in his doorwing (that might be a tad too long because of just that) was in that picture so yeah. Of course when the internet came back I looked up more reference but didn’t use as much as my sketch was pretty much done and I liked it.

I have to tell you Red Alert: damn your helmet! I don’t know how long or how much I’ve cursed over that helmet. It is so pretty, but so difficult to draw because of those damn horns! The perspective angle to get them right, I still don’t feel like I have managed it.

The surprise in this picture was that the badge emblem Red Alert has, the fire shield thing, has the same shape as his helmet. I was like: 8) smooth…. Still a damned difficult, handsome helm :<

I had the idea of drawing stuff happening in the Ark on the screens, but it would take away too much attention from Red Alert here. The holograms notes I’m proud of : ) The two on his desk are one just hinting to a fanfiction I’m reading (Red Alert isn’t in it ) which I love! It is just not finished and I don’t know if the author have given up on it or not and it makes me so frustrated T.T Anyhow I tried to mirror the writing as it should be if we were looking through it. The other one is showing earth (somewhat xD I threw in a moon even <.<) and telling there is no deception activity.
The notes on the wall is Red Alert’s personal ones, they tell about Mirage having a nightshift, boost security because WJ gets a new shipment, Inferno asking for a favor and a little paranoia-hinting because Prowl asks for a second rapport of something The Escape-plan hologram on the back left doesn’t have any real letters so no bothering decoding that. If any of you want to decode it It is written in Ancient Autobot font I found on the webs <.< I have no idea if it is accurate tbh. It was fun though 8D after drawing up all the notes in the holograms I aaalmost have the hang of it writing without looking at the font *proud*

*sigh* the lock on the door. Yes it seems a little misplaced there with the gears and yeah but I really struggled how and what to draw to show a lock, surely Red Alert wouldn’t let himself fall into recharge without a good lock on his door, now would he? Also the reason of why he is sleeping in his office, what safer place than the place where he has the possibility to check up on what’s happing in the Ark at all times?

Arg all the buttons, it’s almost sad looking at them now they look like “yeah care, I can’t be bothered”, when truth is I worked hard on them and long, it was tiresome and yet they look so randomly and misplaced D:

I did my best to stay true to the Ark’s color scheme, hey I even kept them silly colors they have on their keyboards xD
