Description
While ATC, now Rhaglen 1, saw the introduction of colour in 1973, it would be another 2 years before colour came to the Newyddion. It's unclear why it took so long for colour to be introduced for the flagship programme, but many speculated it was due to ATC wanting to keep it serious. However, they could not resist change forever and so they introduced colour (this time with more fanfare) and a newly-animated title sequence in early 1975.
