I'm always excited whenever I get the chance to take a break from my commission work and create a doll of my choosing. I am very pleased to present my latest ebay offering. Jennifer Lawrence recently gained fame and recognition for her brilliant portrayal "Silver Linings Playbook" and subsequently won an Oscar for this year's best actress.
The doll started out as Tonner Company's 16-inch Hunger Games Katniss Everdeen doll. Full facial repaint and hair restyle went into the makeover process.
Repaint is a new form of pop art, wherein the doll's face is treated like a three dimensional canvas, with the added challenge of painting within a very small area and an even greater challenge of recreating a real person's likeness. Since dolls are basically miniature pieces, brush strokes and shading have to be very controlled and precise.
