This celebrity doll repaint was inspired by Audrey Hepburn's stunning portrayal of Eliza Doolittle from the Oscar-winning musical "My Fair Lady"

I used a 12-inch Mattel Audrey Hepburn doll. I completely removed factory facial painting and hand painted it to more faithfully replicate Ms. Hepburn as Eliza. The doll's hair undergone painstaking transformation to faithfully capture the character's look from the Ascot Race scene of the movie.

Repaint is a new form of pop art, wherein the doll's face is treated like a three dimensional canvas, with the added challenge of painting within a very small area . Since dolls are basically miniature pieces, brush strokes and shading have to be very controlled and precise.
