Easter Egg total: 1
· “Try this on for size.” Bloom (WC S4E05)
Trivia: Duman’s hawk form is the most used (total: 5), yet never used again particularly in the 2nd half of WC S4.
Director's Commentary: Duman’s hawk form in this dive scene came out pretty good. This dive scene is an inspiration of the Peregrine Falcon. It flies really high up and then skydives down very fast. When I was young, I was like an animal fanatic, so I already knew this fact. Some inspirations on how Duman’s hawk’s move is from a character named Falcon from Stuart Little 2 (2002). U can see why Duman caught up to Bloom very quickly now. Again, it’s the scar on Duman’s left eye that gave Duman away.
Why doesn’t Bloom use her Fiery Shield to defend herself in this scene?
Again, Bloom isn’t used to magic or this kind of fighting. For example, she still goes after the sword equipment that Sky gave her previously. Thus, still thinking like an Earthling, which is a double-edged sword for her.
How come Duman’s attack is only ‘decent’ damage?
Mainly due to Duman’s hawk form. To me, it’s one of the fastest and easiest to conjure out of all of his animal transformations (trivia above). So, I’m thinking this form focuses on speed and somewhat recovery time but give up on things like attack power and defense at best. Hence why, in this form, Duman seems to be ‘always’ catching up to Bloom ‘very quickly’ despite Bloom’s efforts to slow him down.
