Yes France will remember but the territories were not Alsace and Lorraine it's just a formulation because it was Alsace and a Lorraine territory who is call Moselle.

But just a question ... The little girl is Alsace right ? Because it's her traditional clothe and in this case the boy outfit are wrong ... Because in Lorraine (I'm a part of a traditional dance group) we didn't have that ..

You don't have to be sorry in Moselle we learn that but at this part of history the French turn it into Lorraine because in Moselle we have the industry and Vosges, Meurthe-and-Moselle and Meuse were just campagnes....
But I at the beginning of the German occupation we had declared our self are French and when French won our territories we declare our self are Lorrain because we didn't want any war but after that we had WW2 ...

Yes, it's a sailor suit. There's no special reason for that, I looked up for photographs of children in Europe in 1870's and lot of them wore sailor suits. Just for that ^^U

When I thought of them, Lorraine was the little girl and Alsace was the boy. Her headdress is very characteristic, but I found references of it refering both to Alsace and Lorraine typical clothing, I hope I did not make many mistakes on their outfit >.<
