A background! A background! I did a background!...Ahem.
It was literally a week ago that I was trying to escape artist's block- now, I can't even make a proper sketch without turning it into a full illustration. I couldn't ask for anything more.
Anyway, I'm obviously a sucker for silly things, and what's better than the smiling cat-boat and the Dreemurr kids?
It was either this, or something involving Papyrus and Sans. (Which must happen someday.) Also... background. Honestly, I yearn for the day when I actually know what I'm doing while painting those things. I didn't look up any references for the water, or the rocks, or anything, really. (Except for the cat-boat, of course.) And the perspective's bugging me a little- BUT HEY! I'm still in love with this piece! So my complaints end there!

Somehow... this is really fitting. Sure, Asriel might be a timid sort, but Chara always would push him to do crazy things. And this seems like one of those crazy things he'd actually wind up enjoying. So go forth, Human-Child and Goat-Boy!! Ride those waves!

I can totally imagine this sort of stuff happening an unhealthy amount of times, very randomly, and, at some point, Chara and Asriel get home completely fucking soaked and Toriel and Asgore are just like, "Ugh, you were on that stupid boat again, huh? We better raise that boat-person's pay, the poor soul."

Who else wants a game about Chara and Asriel's adventures on the Underground?
I mean, people were hopeful during the time Chara was down there, that means they must've helped a lot of people with Asriel's help too. Just an idea.

By the way, have you read Underline? It's a comic about Chara's time in the Underground, and it includes some very interesting concepts.
