Description Yes, it's just the Apache Assault Rifle shaded, but Keti had so much interest and enthusiasm for that weapon (and I had little) that I named it after him. It abbreviates very nicely, too.
So, Keti, this one's for you!
By the way, I decided that the receiver does hinge, and I figured out how it would, too.
EDIT: I'm changing the caliber to 6.5x45mm GunTech, a round that an acquaintance of mine designed. It is 7.62x45mm Czech necked down to 6.5mm. It has a 106-grain bullet most of the time. I like a loading with a 117-grain bullet, and for long-range work you can go with 123-grain Lapua Scenars.
I think I'm going to upload the picture on here with cred to him, but I'm not sure.
NOTE: I've decided on positions for the selector: lever in the uppermost position is semi, middle is auto, lowest is safe. This allows you to just flick the safety off really quickly.
EDIT: I want an alternate chambering in .216 Typhoon. 'Cause Typhoon rocks.
EDIT: PHOTOSHOP!!!
Oh, and I've labeled it the "Timberwolf" to keep with the Northern animal theme I've got going on with my PSed stuff.
Oh, and "6.5x46mm" is not a typo. It's a caliber slightly different from 6.5 GunTech, with the base of the 6.8 SPC. Normally, I'd distinguish it with a schnazzy name, but since this is supposed to resemble a military document, I had to forgo that and use its metric designation, which is the same as the 6.5 GunTech's. So I did what every good designer does: I just mislabeled the length of the cartridge.

Wow! I really like these weapon profiles, and I just figured out why. They look like concept art out of a game, the one that springs to mind is Far Cry 2.

Timberwolf is a great name, in my humble opinion, though not as BA as Mjolnir. I'll be watching for more images like these!

Haha, thanks.
I am good at names, for some reason.
Though definitely the best one I've ever came up with was "Zephyr" for a caliber.
This rifle was named "Timberwolf" to match the other weapons that have frames like this, all named after animals. "Wolverine", "Lynx", etc.
I really wish I didn't have the desire to name everything the "Wolverine".
It's just a great image.
I love wolverines.

I would totally buy that gun, but only if it had two things that I feel are missing in the latest generation of guns.

Where are the picatinny rails and why no adjustable stock? Holographic sights are great and easily fit on rails and smaller people (especially women and children) and people wearing body armor would greatly appreciate an adjustable stock.

i only rely on my iron sights optics suck and are easily distorted

I, too, am an iron sight man. I hate scopes. But I recognize that people do like optics, so I usually incorporate some way of mounting them.
My general theory is that (unless you're a sniper) if you can't see it with your iron sights, it's too far away anyway.

not just scopes but red dots and the like, they are a better replacement for match sights and are much easier to acquire the target, but i hear a lot about people bumping them and taking off the zero and then not being able to shoot straight.

I think if you used a really solid mount, it'd be okay.

I see.
Well, I like irons anyway, so no skin off my back!

I really only draw the base version of a weapon. I've already planned a version with Pivs and an adjustable stock. Use your imagination for now.

Thanks. I'll remember that and remind myself when viewing your future work.

Yeah, I just draw to remind myself what something looks like when I move on to other projects, really. It has nothing to do with expression.

Now it's even cooler. Woot, I gots an assluat rifel named aftar meh.

If I ever take up the gunmaking trade, I'll just have to make one like this, if for nothing else, then for the epic win that would necessarily ensue.
