Beautiful musculature. The anatomy is amazing but then again I've always had problems with male anatomy, I always tend to mess up the pectoral to deltoid lines. How long did it take you to sculpt this?

Your understanding of anatomy is simply incredible. The flex in the pec muscles is just perfect, and really make the character look like he's actually moving. Well done! I can't wait to see the finished painted piece.

it's actually super sculpey. It's a clay you can easily manipulate and bake to hardness in your home oven.

Cool, i use red clay and i just can't get a very good finish on it unless i burnish it which takes ages and is very hard for little fiddly bits.
I'm gonna have to see if i can get some of that stuff, hopefully i can get it in the UK, i'm trying to put together a portfolio of my work but its very slow when i have to wait for my work to fire. Do you have to make your work hollow or is their no danger of it exploding?

this clay presents little to no trouble. All you have to worry about is cracking which is easily remedied if your armature is strong enough. And maybe burning but if you keep the oven at 175-200 F and make sure you watch your piece it shouldn't be a problem. You want to avoid any air pockets(not because of exploding but weakness in the clay).
