It looks to me like he used Super Sculpey. At least for the majority of it.

haha... no problem. If you're looking for it, super sculpey is sold in most craft stores. Cooks in your oven. It's really easy to use and it's not messy like many other clays.

I talked to Randy Bowen a few years ago at a comic show and he clued me in to a tip that's helped me a lot.
You can bake a basic sculpture. Then go back and sculpt more onto it and use a heat gun to bake the little parts. It gives you a great amount of control.

...out of sheer curiosity... what kind of metal armature do you use for those guys? The stuff I've used never holds up to bulky figures. I create something and it looks all perfect when I go to bed and in the morning the thing's gone and bent itself into a new pose... helps

hey guy if you don't mind me asking Where did you learn how to sculpt and model so well, and what materials did you happen to use. I tried regular sculpting clay but I have a hard time, if you can please recommend so good products thanks.
