I guess you could call this an "angry" painting..mostly because I almost never lay on the paint that thick...ever. But it does have a story, and even though it isn't my normal approach with lots of detail..I do like to look at it on my wall. I even framed it...ugh that was expensive...

I think the frame works well with the more 'negative' feel of the piece. The pattern along it looks sort of like thorns olr barbed wire.
It's a very powerful painting overall.

My interpretation . . . is that the heart, the source of emotion, is the captor of this person. They're tied down by it, and it's driving them mad.

I think the color could be played with more. You should try mixing more cool and warm blacks, yes there is a reddish-black throughout, but the black is mostly all the same, and looks like it's from the tube (same with they grey's).

Her heart was ripped out =/ In her darkest hours, in a spiralling depression someone managed for her to become so depressed her heart was ripped out
