Description
Onto the second Koopaling in this picture series is Morton Koopa Jr. (known as Big Mouth Koopa in the cartoon series) as Morton Downey Jr. (1932-2001), the talk show host of "The Morton Downey Jr. Show" that ran from 1987 to 1989, which pretty much pioneered the format "Trash TV".Morton's thing was basically getting a variety of guests on stage to talk about controversial subjects (religion, politics, you name it), which usually ended up in angry screaming matches (some getting quite physical) between not only them and the audience, but him as well and he was not short of insults and cigarettes, which he smoked like a chimney on set!
Funnily enough, due to his attitude, Morton Downey Jr. ended up getting the nickname "Loudmouth", which could have been referenced by Morton Koopa Jr's. name "Big Mouth" from the cartoon series and due to Dayv Brooks thinking that Koopaling had a big mouth and an angry expression. Was this intentional or coincidental on both Brooks and DIC Entertainment's part? What do you think?

If you ask me, Morton Koopa Jr. looks more like a KISS member, especially Paul Stanley.

Oh right. But... Morton's arguably pretty laid-back unless commanded. And his angry face is just... like that, but he hardly seems to be angry all the time.
