NightMare Moons RPD Russian light machine gun fitted for 7.62x39mm. the same ammo used in the AK-47's, AKM's, and the RPK's. speaking of RPK's, that is the weapon that replaced the RPD due to the fact the RPK is more reliable and less prone to jam. this RPD has a folding front sight, a lighten stock, a 200 round PKM style box, and a red dot sight on a upper RIS hand guard. it's been 1 year since i made the first NightMare RPD and i am more pleased with the new one and that POS i made one year ago.Related content

it was a little bit of a pain in my ass to find a good large side view. but who knew that if you put the full meaning of RPD into google you'll find one. after i found it, i got to work and gave it a PK type stick because i saw that type being used in Army of Two: The Devils Cartel and on a real RPD. same with the PK type ammo box.

It is hard to find a good view of some rifle is it not.
I never thought about this particular rifle with that type of stock though.

i think it looks good on the RPD, it also gives you a back grip so you can press the stock against your shoulder with more force to reduce the kick. i know that we are about to get semi-auto RPD's into the US market so i might just have to do this to one... but then later convert it back over to it's full auto self. because a semi is not as scary as a full auto.

The thing is that comparing the RPK and the RPD, the first one is lighter, but the other has much more firepower, is more heavier, but for me a great choice!
In Deadliest Warrior they compared the Iraqui National Guard's RPK versus the Red Khmer RPD
The RPK jammed after a magazine, and lost precious time, while the other one simple killed a lot more
