Description
Finally all done. This is the culmination of 19 days of drawing and tattooing, the most perfect work i have ever done.The dragons are Urnes-style, with a red light to them.
The pattern is from a vikingage knifehilt, found in Poland.
The idea is to create the feeling of armor, to empower and protect the wearer. I think that worked out.

Thank you for the nice comment and no you can't steal the picture and reproduce the tattoo. All designs and tattoos are copyrighted. Taking them an reproducing the artwork would simply be a case of theft.
Most of our clients travel to us for their tattoos, so I am sure it would just be a matter of you getting to Barcelona for excellent art.

AFAIK this classic pattern is sort of well-known. Not just from a knife in Poland. Also known from eg. Arab, Japanese, and Chinese ornament. I do not recall seeing an Old Norse or Celtic use, but I would not be surprised to discover one some day. It is most likely featured in "Grammar of Ornament". I seem to recall that it derives from the hexagon mesh and/or "flower of life" somehow (I think; the latter). Just saying. Because I'm a bloody nitpicker

Just because it used it from a specific source, it does not mean it is not found in other places. I have it from many different cultures from around the world, but since my client is from Poland, that is the source i used for it.
