This was supposed to be a Halloween pic for last year, but I never really had time to finish it so it just stood rotting in my folder for months
Looking at it now, he could very well be part of the Emperor's group of merry men.

Technically, the war is over since the Emperor has his fortress. There is some resentment, but respect still wins out between the two sides.
At this point, I don't know how involved he was in the Dwarven war

I guess so. I initially wanted him/it to be the head of the Slayers, which means that he spends a lot of time cooped up in the Emperor's Palace. Then again, how would he be able to obtain the bone parts of his armor if he doesn't go about looking for the parts?

yeah. perhaps he was given leave for such acts of bravery and such. May he spend it with my fantasy soldiers? They'll go fight a giant bug thing that shoots lightning from its exposed crystal brain. hahaha.

For acts of bravery, ho would've been initiated into the Emperor's chosen few (aka: Honor Guard)
I can't really think of a way for him to be able to roam the world, unless he was disgraced o__O

oh okay. How about this, while patrolling the castle perimeter he gets sucked into a portal made by my pirate-mages. He has to kill the beast to get back to your world. it would be like that cabinet in narnia. It would be as if nothing happened to everyone but him in the end.

I'm thinking on a variety of things:
1. He was disgraced and must fight titanic battles in order to redeem himself.
2. He was sent to learn more about the world and then to report once more to the Emperor.
3. He was sent to visit scattered outposts of the Exiles, and was thus lost to the warp or something
4. Gone bone hunting as trophies to prove himself worthy
