Description So, when you take your date out to eat at a fancy restaurant, do you have expectations?

Excellent. I still just dream about capturing two butterflies in one shot.


What kind of software are you using for postprocessing, Cindy? Usually Canon cameras produce vibrant colors and those butterflies sure are vibrant, but your image (and those that follow) is very muted. I wonder if that's on purpose. I just could imagine the rich orange with green background - [link] .

These guys were doing something to attract the females - that's why I was able to sneak up on them. They were more focused on the purdy little girls likin' 'em than the lady with the camera. Lucky me!

There was a lady there, watching the butterflies and dragonflies and we started to chat. She said they were males and they were collecting something from the plant to increase their sex hormones... that make sense to you? I am quite sure she knew what she was talking about as I have seen her there before, intently studying the bugs.

Could well be. I was thinking that a dead plant could still be exuding oils that they might want for some reason...guess that could be it.
