The most influencial political figure in Wolfmark and around. Von Lettman is the grandson of the founder of Wolfmark - which is a quite a new city all things considered. Wolfmark is located in the world's end mountains and originally made as an imperial outpost to ressuply relief troups sent to Kislev against chaos incursions, surrounded north and south by two major dwarven Karaks east by Kislev and south east by Ostermark. With time, lot of nordskin, imperial, dwarven and kislevite settlers made the place a quite cosmopolite town, and as the city enriched itself by acting as an important trading hub, it progressively acquired some degree of independance from their imperial founders.

However this comes at a price - namely being a foreign presence at the center of a heavily disputed area, Wolfmark has to deal with the exigences of all of its neighbours, and resist frequent incursions from greenskin coming from the west, nordskin and chaos coming from the north, and undead roaming bands migrating from Ostermark.

The area being at permanent risk of being razed to the ground breeds a certain kind of leaders, and Marquis Phillip Von Lettman, current ruling lord, had to learn quickly than kindness and virtue alone are holy unsuffiscient to prevent his territory from self destruction.
Technically both ruling lord and commander of the standing army, Von Lettman is assisted by a company known as the Crimson Flames, a group of landless nobles and retainers, acting as his court, bodyguards and spadassins. He holds a quite uneven leash on the other nodes of power - the local knighly order and the municipality, which he let them do pretty much as they please as long as they don't cross his juridiction, in which cases, Von Lettman is not above commanding public executions or political murders.

That behavior, necessary to maintain cohesion in a harsh natural and political (both interior and exterior) context made him a lot of rivals and enemies... which can be dealt with in times of peace, but with the current growing threats, begin to shaken his throne more and more vividly.

Von Lettman is an incredible fighter, able to cleave a knight in armor in a single blow of his signature zweihander, which is not the least of the reasons he still bears the crown on his head and his head on his neck. He's also a very competent leader, and besides his Crimson Flames, he can rely on the two hundred permanent men of Wolfmark's standing army, a number of hired companies and the possible support of rural patrollers and a number of knights.

Family wise, Von Lettman desires to wed a kislevite lady to insure the good will of his neighbours and prevent incursions in his territory.

Technically speaking, he is a member of the League of Ostermark and pays his imperial taxes through the Chancellor of the League. He is also technically speaking obliged to render military assistance to his mother house should the need arise, but Wolfmark is far to be in the situation to respect its obligations.
