my adventures in the Pacific Northwest have led me to hundreds of falls..from big too small. as i approach each one i get giddy inside..the small bringing intimacy..the big bringing awe..nothing i have seen prepared for my reaction when i came out of the trees and laid my eyes upon this monster! for a non explicit version of my reaction i made up the word yarps (spray backwards)..but in reality..was "holy, f*@#!!" with my jaw dropping to the ground!
the picture in no way shows the massiveness of this cataract and the conditions were not ideal for capturing it but did my best til i return and plus..i liked the "monster" shape

hehe..this one would be like tilting comet on its side and letting it drop that way from its peak! it was pretty loud..but the sound was really soothing and not thunderous..kinda odd for such a large fall! is definitely a challenging spot..due to both the massiveness of the fall and the small gorge it flows into plus the mist of this thing flew for well over a quarter mile!

hehe..is it unusual to be able to buy your groceries, outdoor gear, hardware and memorabilia in a store with four names
is always fun seeing the fanboys around the area and their awesome shirts though

I think that's probably unusual, yeah...still wanted to see if they had pillows! Will have to do that next time... 
The fanboys were hilarious. Something I did NOT expect to see in Forks. They were worse than the girls!
I suppose I shouldn't tell you that I ordered us some fanboy shirts for our next trip to Forks...

Aaah, never made it to Spray Park, though judging from the images of others I could be gorgeous at sunset. It does require backpacking to do it justice (aka no spousal presence for me), and the crowds are probably not anything like the throngs at Paradise.
