As I grow older, I find myself celebrating the day of my birthday less and less due to school/work/etc. I guess you come to realize that your birthday is no longer priority as it was as you were a child....doesn't mean I didn't have a party on a different day though.

That's sucks! Mine's today, so I decided to have a birthday party to celebrate my second century on this fine Earth. I invited about 60 people (knowing a FEW who couldn't make it) and less than 10 showed up. I tried to celebrate...but apparently i have almost no actual friends. So I'm glad you got to party on a different day. Also sorry for posting this here, I'm only a little bitter and a little drunk. Oh well...I suppose I should live by my motto C'est la vie.

I feel you...I had to have lessons during summer to prepare for my final exams this year..so i spent half of my birthday with my tutors studying maths and physics... TT_TT

My birthday is in 6 days and I do not get anything. I will be 13. My brother is babied. He is now 11 and HIS birthday was july18th. He got a DSi , games , we went out out to eat , and money. I get a cake... and then my friend was writing bdays 4 july and august and I was forgotten.... as usual...

Haha, I was just browsing under 'birthday' - since I was bored and it is mine - and found this. So true! I'm not even that old yet, and thankfully mine's in summer, but at the same time I'm going: Take my birthday off work? ...why? XD Instead I just plan on going out to eat at a lovely place afterwards! Woo low-key birthdays! *still plans to make this day AWESOME*
