The Black Water Curse, the creature that's responsible for the death of Belit in Conan #100. What a terrible waste I really like seeing a female version of Conan. I was really hoping that they would have given Belit her own series instead of killing her off.Related content

The story is actually how the original 1935 ( I think that's the date) tale written by Robert E. Howard went. Though Conan never saw her die, just the aftermath. He did make the creature pay.

That's always bother me that they never showed how she really died. Sort of left it to the readers imagination.

That was traditional in the time period. Most of the time the concepts were new enough that just having some supernatural or weird thing was enough to make people excited. now the genre has been out for a while and we are all looking for the action or the character development to be the bit that grabs us.

I was a bigger fan of Valeria in the Story Red Nails. Reminded me a bit of Red Monika from Battle Chasers.
That said, I never disliked Belit 
I suspect it was the only woman Conan REALLY felt for.
