I think soooo few people know about SaiMono. T^T I only found out about it from a random anime ad that popped up on Internet Explorer one day. Shurie and Ryuuki looked so regal and beautiful in the ad that I HAD to know what the anime was about.

So I bought the box set, season 1. Watched all of it. Found out there was an 02, and watched it, realizing that it was not dubbed in English AND the series was a cliffhanger. XP

So I'm praying tht they'll dub 02 in English one day and give us an 03. And I hope Ryuuki gets with Shurei!

I too hope Ryuki will be the one to get her (out of the half-a-dozen or so men in love with her!), because he's so lonely, being emperor and all.

That scene, in the Archives, when Shoka told Reishin about the "eternal loneliness" of an emperor, my heart broke! Ryuki is such a nice nice nice guy! ::sob::

I'm not too big on yaoi or yuri myself. I respect it, I mean I don't bash it or anything because I understand everyone has different preferences and they shouldn't be judged by that. ^^ But personally I'm not a fan of it and I don't ship yaoi or yuri pairings.

I did read your fanfic though, the one that went with the 2nd pic you showed me. =] I thought the connection between Koyu and Shuei was sweet even though Shuei couldn't talk. ^^ I even found myself laughing a little bit.

OMGGGGGGGGGGG BUT EVERY TIME I SEE RYUUKI ON THE SCREEN I JUST WANNA GIVE HIM A BIG HUUUUUUUG HE'S SUCH A SWEEEEETHEART! (And I love how he's always just stealing kisses from Shurie when she doesn't expect it! ) I like how easily he can swetch between being an "Emperor" in front of his council and being like, just a bit sweet shy kid in front of his friends when he's in his office.

Lol, interesting that Ryuuki would try to give them some advice. XD Personally I would've seen him too innocent for it, that's more something I could picture from Seiran than Ryuuki (though I know due to the setting that's impossible since Seiran was with Shurie and Eigustu).

I just didn't think that Ryuuki would know too much about relationships, let alone intercourse or releiving tension. XD (Especially since the idea of him entertaining men in the series was confirmed to just be a rumor so no one would bother him about taking a wife and so he wouldn't have to have the responsibility of continuing the royal bloodline or following his emperor-ly duties before Shurie came).

But I guess just because he doesn't have personal knowledge doesn't mean he can't give his insight/opinion to his friends. He is the emperor after all and at that point in the series he's learning how to give orders for the sake of his followers. He loves all of his friends so much. ^-^

I'm still not a shipper of yaoi (or yuri) but I commend you for sticking with your passion so strongly and for building on the character's relationships with each other. Also for adding a bit of light humor to your stories. The caterpillar was funny, I wasn't expecting it. XD lol.

I'd say to keep doing what you're doing and keep loving it. If you have pis that don't clearly portray or imply male on male action (like the two chibi pics you showed me) please don't hesitate to tell me because like I said, there's not enough Saiunkoku art out there. But I ask that for my sake that you try to refrain from showing me fics or art relating to malexmale relationships, only because it's not something I'm interested in. ^^

But you do have a talent! And the point of fanfiction is to implement your own flavors and tastes into something that already exists and to do so with a fervor that makes you happy. It's good that you do have this cnnection of them being open with each other and wanting to help each other (especially since everyone was rather tight lipped in the series. What with the blackmailing and the secret of Seiran being Ryuuki's older brother and stuff.... the show really did have a lot of secrets). So I like how you have their friendships and level of comfort more opinion in your stories!

Keep up the great work! (PS. That's one of my favorite episodes b/c Ryuuki actually LEAVES the palace to check on Shurei, he's so smitten with her, lol! <333)

I don't think Ryuki is that innocent, at least not according to the English-dubbed version I watched. maybe your version translated the dialogue differently.

( The version I had was the English dub. XD I just assumed that MAYBE It was all a front. I mean, I know they showed him pulling men into his room but, then later he said that he was afraid of the dark b/c his family used to beat him and put him in dark closets. So after Seiran left I thought that he just needed someone in his room with him to keep him company b/c he was a fraid of being alone. But they never really directly clarified it so, I guess it was left up to speculation for each individual viewer. Even if he is experienced though I don't thin that'd change my love of the series any. It's really beautifully animated and I love the storyline and the governmental aspects of the show too. ^-^ )

Unfortunately I haven't read the manga yet. XD I JUST got into the series in December. I got the 01 Box set for Christmas and spent most of February watching 02 after I finished the box set. So I'm still in 'TV Series mode'. Hopefully I can find manga English translations online or something, I don't have much money to purchase the volumes of the manga in its entirety like I would like. XP So I'm hoping I can find it online. ^^

(I'm amazed at how Shurei has ALL THESE MEN chasing her and she just kinda doesn't know what to do with herself. XD lol! Most girls aren't as lucky as her! XD )

I, believing him to be very experienced, still like him very much!

Giving you the link to an online site of fan-translated manga. It's progressing rather slowly, not yet even up to the halfway point of the anime Season 1. That's why i still can't tell if it portrays Shurei's feelings for Ryuki any differently.

And yes, I thought the same thing when I found out about Ensei! XDD Ensei, Ryuuki and Koyu are my top 3 favorites. Though the thing I love most about Koyu is how the poor guy is always getting lost. Ryuuki's like a big fluffy, cuddly emperor to me. I'd love to huggle him like a teddy-bear! And Ensei....well...I just think he's hott! XD I'd totally date him!


No doubt that if they DO do a season 3, Shurei will have even more guys after her. XD lol
