Turned out really well. *shrug* Don't know who she is, but she kind of reminds me of Kyoko from Skip Beat (AWESOME CHAPTER TODAY! *squee*) but yeah, that could be because I just read it. I've actually had this inked for a few months now. *shrug* Yay for access to scanners.Related content

I love the lips and the face. The hair seems a little too baby fine---maybe a little more line depthness? The middle of the outfit doesn't seem to go with the dress. I LOVE THE RUFFLES. SHE IS CUTE. Line width. THAT IS THE WORD. I couldn't remember it. I would add some more line width to make it more...dynamic. ^^

I've been doing my hair really fine, because every book/tutorial I've ever read has said japanese do their hair very fine. However, you're the second person that has suggested I try otherwise, so I think I'm going to do so. I know the middle of the outfit doesn't go with the dress. She's wearing a swimsuit. LOL.

Ahhhh! Well, I lived in China, and I wouldn't call their hair...fine. It really depends on the person. Their hair doesn't tend to be as oily as other people's. Their shampoos always made my hair very brittle and rough. Not everyone has the same hairstyle, though it's quite general.

Regular sketch paper (cleaned up the scan in photoshop, always easier with inks) and Micron pens. Microns rock.

I've got to find that... it tough to find some good art supplies... and expensive...
I use reg sketch paper but it tends to bleed a little, so I was thinking to switch to bleed proof... less to clean up.

Microns are usually easy to pick up at any craft store, and they're fairly inexpensive as well.Just felt-tipped pens. Microns don't bleed nearly as much, but I had the same problem there for a while. Scan it in really big, and then re-size it, and you can get rid of a little bit of that, not all of it, but yeah. Good luck.

It's really their size though. I mean, i've seen some pretty realistic Anime eyes, but it's usually the size. When I see it, I really think anime...but that's also because I started out with the comic proportions and all.
