This conversation happened recently:

[Me:] I’m watching a Miss Marple mystery.
[Katie:] Oh?
[Me:] Starring Reinette and the Eighth Doctor. Oh, and I think I just saw a Weeping Angel in the cemetery scene.
[Katie:] That sounds amazing.
[Me:] Well, when I say it like that, it sounds about 1000% better than what I’m actually watching.

Naturally I had to draw this.

I think I’ve turned into a “You know you’ve been watching too much Doctor Who when…” punchline.
a) … if you see multiple actors from Doctor Who in an unrelated production, you feel compelled to make lame jokes about them being their characters from Doctor Who in said production.
b) …you find these lame jokes funny and know other people who do as well.
c) …deep down you kinda wish you were really watching the Doctor Who plot you just joked about with said characters.*

[* item c DOES NOT APPLY to Much Ado About Nothing with David Tennant and Catherine Tate. I love it to bits, but I in no way want it to be Ten and Donna. No.]

With all due apologies to Agatha Christie, Miss Marple, Paul McGann and Sophia Myles (who were both perfectly excellent in The Sleeping Murder, really), and the BBC.
