Had this conversation recently...[friend]: I want to give Lupin a sandwich, a hug, and some new robes.
[me]: I don't know, I think Lupin rocks the shabby bohemian look.
[friend]: Oh, I don't deny that, but he might want have some nice new clothes sometimes. Like for going on a date with Tonks.
[me]: But then they wouldn't look like rejects from the cast of Rent together!
So, here we have Lupin and Tonks in Muggle clothes, looking like rejects from the cast of Rent.

Wait but they both have jobs, Lupin isn't an angst factory and Tonks isn't a stripper. Oops.
Do I love her little vest? Do I want it? I do. Please come and plan all of my wardrobe. I think this is a gorgeous little Tonks. I know you generally give her the pink hair but... I like it best! I'm used to seeing it on her now anyhow, but really, i like it best! And Lupin has a such a sweet face. You have made me a Lupin/Tonks supporter. Not that I was gonna become a Lupin/Sirius shipper or something.

Well, Lupin IS an angst factory sometimes (especially in book 6 and early book 7) and he only kind of has a job (because lycanthropy is pretty much written as a broad allegory for AIDs in the books and no one but Dumbledore will employ him). Tonks is DEFINITELY not a stripper though - I'd say she's the magical equivalent of an FBI agent? I guess that is why they are in fact rejected from the cast of Rent.
I will come plan your wardrobe right now.
Okay, so you think it looks pink here too? Erin and Katie both said it was red, but I thought it was a dark, bright pink. I was questioning my ability to identify colors!

That's a good look for Tonks! I love the red hair, the freckles and the rosy rosy cheeks. She's so cute. Lupin is also cute. but he always looks the same so I need not comment on liking the arrangement if his features. Still, I like the contradiction of their expressions. Very cannon.

Hm, well, I didn't intend to put any freckles on Tonks's little pink cheeks... I'm seeing one spot, but I think that was just dust on the scanner? And I'm not sure what you mean by their expressions being contradictory... Lupin was supposed to be smiling slightly, so if I didn't get that across, my bad.

She just looks SO happy and he looks...mildly happy and kind of worried. Very in character. I thought it was super appropriate.
I apologize for seeing freckles everywhere. not only your scanner but my computer has dust. Also, as you can tell from my characters I am sometimes a little freckle obsessed.

Oooh, I really like their expressions in this one; their eyes are very "alive." And Tonks is rocking the Muggle look. Lupin... looks rather nice in that shirt, doesn't he? I like seeing him in robes, but the Muggle clothes do not detract from his inherently nice Lupin-ness.

Still, even though they're closed, they're just... they have a good sense of movement and expression? And this IS a very good Lupin! Always nice to see him happy, as well.
