Description
First appearance: Donkey Kong Country Returns (2010)Mugly from ”Donkey Kong Country Returns”. He is a vaguely amphibian creature that resides in the jungles of DK Island, happily feeding on bananas. However, Kalimba from the nefarious Tiki Tak Tribe sees Mugly as a tool in their schemes, and uses his hypnotic abilities to turn the creature against our simian heroes. Both Kongs must evade the ramming and spiky body of the beastly banana bon vivant in order to defeat him and get some revenge on the pesky Kalimba. But beware: Mugly’s healthy yellow complexion changes to red as both the battle and his temper progresses!

and while at 1st it may seem lazy that the battle is reused later on in the game with Thugly in world 6 the Cliff's, he does change it up with having to wait for the armor plates to move in order to jump on his back, creating shock waves, breathing fire and even charging
So I'm at least glad that Thugly's fight wasnt just a rehash of Mugly's fight

I agree. At first I was sceptical about another Mugly-esque battle, but the way Thugly's fight improved upon Mugly's was so well-executed that I just couldn't dislike it. Plus, I love Thugly's prehistoric-sounding battle music!

It did fit the theme of world 6 where the enemies where living dinosaur fossil's and that there where fossils in the wall's

Citrus Express: when Mugly powers up, he'll have invincibility for 1 minute. If he powers up again, his power will increase and his color will darken.

Yeah, the Kremlings have seemingly been on a vacation for nearly a decade, until K. Rool debuted in "Ultimate". But it seems like whatever happens, the Kongs will always have antagonists ready
