Guy is so Lee's super hero. And those of you that don't like Guy because of his blatant favoritism...do you really think Lee would have turned out like he did if it were otherwise? He NEEDS someone to believe in him, to believe that he's special, in a way the other two don't-- Neji because he has the whole village calling him a genius, TenTen because she's little miss independent.
Yes, he did say Lee was his most precious student but...I have a hard time believing he wouldn't have said the same thing about TenTen or Neji if they were the ones in trouble. I think he gives Lee special attention because Lee needs it.
Lee's was a bit easier to do, because half of them are redrawn and colored screen shots
. I didn't originally want to use any, but the three I found were just too perfect. They displayed Guy and Lee's relationship in a way I never otherwise could. So...on they went.I think my favorites are the two up in the right hand corner
. The top one is Guy giving Lee his hair cut, and it makes me laugh like crazy. The one below is training with Guy running, and lil' Lee holding on to his waist. It amuses me greatly.And...um...yay for father/son relationships?

Awwwwwww! It's Lee! With his awesome memories! Those are so cute! I love the collages you did. They look awesome. I think my favorite one is where he's getting help with his hair to get it to look like his senseis. I think the title really fits what Lee thinks about Guy, and the drawings are beautiful. You did a great job capturing a variety of expressions and poses, as well as Lee's larger picture. My only critque would be to slightly lighten the background. Just a little bit becuase it's kinda hard to discern Lee's hair from the background. But it's really a beautiful piece and I love it! *tackle glomps Lee*

Aw, thank you! I thought about lightening the background, honestly, but I want it to match Neji and TenTen's, and since their's was dark...*shrug*. But I'm glad you like all the little pictures. They were so fun!
That one is my favorite too. I don't know why, but the whole idea of that picture makes me squeal with delight.

Guy-Sensei is funny. Don't know much about him, but from what I've read (not that far into the series but I don't mind spoilers) he's got this insane kinda onesided rivalary with kakashi that's really funny!

There's a lot more to Guy-sensei than the first few chapters/episodes with him will let you see. By the time you get to part II, you know that the Guy is INSANELY powerful and kind-hearted. I loved that man to pieces.

I saw a shipuuden episode with him in it where he fought this shark guy! It was so cool! He's got insane skills and throughout the whole thing he was so worried about his students! It was awesome!

Haven't seen that one yet, but I just watched the one where Guy told Lee to have the surgery. Made me melt inside. And I read your comments about Guy and favoritism and I agree in the sense that Lee really does need somebody to believe in him constantly. He grew up with no one believing in him so...he needs it the most. But at the same time. I also think he seeks Guy out the most. The other two seem to like Guy, but they don't need his attention to feel good or accomplished. Lee needs that hero figure, and he's searched for it. Plus, there was a clip I saw of one ep where Guy is talking to Tsundae and says something like "why isn't my team who I love the most enough?!" so he didn't just single out Lee. He said he loves them all. *this comment feels so random.

That is my favorite episode in the entire series. No joke. I bawl like a baby every time.
That makes sense, and it's true. Lee does seem to need Guy and asks for it in a way the other two don't.

I didn't cry, but I think I came kinda close. For some weird reason it takes a lot to make me cry.
I love Team Gai. They're just made of pure win. My other favorite eps so far with them, aside from the Gaara vs Rock Lee ones, are when Lee gets drunk. And then fillers, where Lee opens his dojo and Gai and him are forced to fight against each other because of Yagura. Wish it had been more angsty though, like Gai really hurting Lee! ...yeah, I'm mean.

I love those fillers! All of them, really, that have Team Guy in them. They make me smile. Well, anything with Lee makes me smile 90% of the time...

Lee being in something just makes you smile! I don't know why, maybe it's cause he's one of the easiest characters to relate to. Cause no one can do jutsu in the real world or fight huge monsters, but they can learn martial arts and be persistant with it. Plus Lee fought a huge battle inside himself when he fought against what others expected him to become. Just a dropout. Now he's kickbutt!
