New Ref

UPDATE: I decided to change her from a mining puppy to a ground puppy. She's still the same, just with a few extra tools and a different title,

Finally got around to making an updated ref of her. I did decide to change a few things from the last time I drew her, mainly her outfit, but I also wanted her tag color to match her uniform. Other than that, she's exactly the same.

I did take inspiration from the Webkinz Signature Bernese Mountain Dog, well, more so just used that design because I like it.

Bio:

Name: Tara

Breed: Bernese mountain dog.

Gender: Female

Job: Ground Puppy

Appearance: A black dog with brown eyes, white chest, muzzle, and paws along with a white streak that goes up her forehead. Caramel colored fur making a ring on her front paws and back paws, with it going up her thighs on her hind legs. Caramel fur also has a streak going down her cheeks and above her eyes.

Uniform appearance: Purple mining jacket with reflectors on her legs and chest, dark purple pup pack, and a purple mining helmet with a light and dark strap.

Pup Pack: A pickaxe, flashlight, and drill.

Personality: Short-tempered, kind of grumpy, a bit to herself, always the first to open her mouth to sarcastic comments, can get very serious on a mission, tends to be a bit of a showoff.

Back story:
Tara was born in a normal household and adopted by a man named Jim as a gift for his girlfriend. Before he had a chance to give Tara to her, his girlfriend called and they broke up, leaving him with the puppy.
Jim was a miner and didn't have much time to spend with anyone, more or less so care for a puppy. They did form a bond and she would stick by his side as she grew, but he never was able to play with her. She was already ornery and would often times knock stuff over or break things around the house to get some attention.
One day, she decided she was sick of being alone all day while Jim worked and wanted do go with him. She took some time to study her plan and finally put it into action when she snuck out to his car and hid in the back seat. Jim went to work without knowing Tara was with him.
Arriving at the mine, he went in. Tara climbed out of the car when the coast was clear and was in awe at everything. She got over the feeling and quickly entered the mine, looking for Jim. Her dark fur made it easy for her to sneak by without being noticed. Once she found Jim she made her presence known. Deciding to try and help, she grabbed a pickaxe. When Jim tried to take it from her, she took off running blindly through the mine. She turned a corner and had the pickaxe yanked from her mouth due to her just getting it stuck in one of the wooden support beams. Jim had finally caught up to her and grabbed her before she could do anymore damage. He took Tara and put her in his car before heading back into the mine. Tara wasn't having any of that. It didn't take her long to climb out of the car again and head back into the mine. She sat down and watched as they replaced the beam, rather curious how they did this task. Jim noticed her and realized there was no way he could keep her out of the mine without having a leash, so he let her be and just kept an eye on her.
As time passed, they had made that part of the cave stable again with temporary support beams. Tara was still just watching quietly as they moved wood. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw a firefly. Having been kept in at night, she had never had the chance to see one up close. She chased it and ended up running into the temporary support beams, causing them to collapse. The sudden noise and shaking caused her to run to Jim's side as the mine caved in.
The Paw Patrol was called in to help get the miners out. Ryder choose Rocky and Rubble and headed off to the mine.
On the other side with the miners was Tara, who made up her mind. She got them into this mess; it was her that was going to get them out of it. She tried digging through the rocks with her bare paws, not making much of a difference. She then proceeded to grab a pickaxe once again by her jaw and try to use it to dig out. No one bothered to stop her, figuring she couldn’t screw things up more.
Meanwhile, Rubble was having a hard time digging out the cave. His vehicle was meant for dirt; not rock. He could move rock, but not dig through it. Rocky was trying to find something in his truck to hold the mine up while Rubble dug.
Tara finally got a small gap of light in, barking a few times as she proceeded to dig away, making an opening just big enough for a pup. She pulled herself out and started digging from the opposite side, trying to get the miners out. Rubble started helping her while Rocky was building the support.
Soon enough, the miners were able to get out and Tara was yipping happily. Jim held Tara as she licked his face a bit, but he knew Tara needed someone who could give her the attention she deserves, so he asked Ryder to find her a good home. Ryder said he could take care of her since she was so helpful, she would be welcomed into the Paw Patrol.
When Tara arrived, she met the other pups, but wasn't really in the mood for talking. She just wanted to lay in the shade. While the pups tried to help her come out of her shell and get her to play, she brushed each one of them off. Out of all the pups, Rocky and Teak tried the hardest.
In the end, Tara warmed up to everyone, but got closest to Teak and Rocky.
