Shame-shame, Yuki. Using such an obvious password. Tsk, tsk.

Then again, when you have to come up with a four digit numeral password it can be hard to come up with things you'll remember.

In the ORIGINAL rough draft Yuki's birthday was the opposite of Morita's. I think originally it was 10/04 and Morita's birthday was 04/10. So at first he puts in her birthday and it doesn't work, and then he puts in his own birthday and that ends up being the password. I decided to simplify it in the final version because it was simpler and because I thought it made Yuki seem a bit obsessed. She's always kind of borderline obsessive looking with painting portraits of her boyfriend and talking about him to her mom (she's not supposed to be creepy-looking, just doing what a typical high school girl with lovey feelings would do) so I thought the password being her boyfriend's birthday would have been strange. If it's their shared birthday it seemed like just a neat coincidence that would make those four digits a little extra special.

She doesn't seem obsessive to me but I see where using his birthday would push her a bit closer to that realm. I know my mom uses my dad's birthday and mine as alternating passwords for her computer since she has to change the password every month but then, I also know how everyone recommends not using anyone's birthday as a password. I used to use my cat's though, because, really, who (besides me) will know my cat's birthday?

Yeah, I use my dog's birthday and a combination of letters from his name for one password. That's the only birthday I have ever used.

I have... no idea what you are saying XD He decided to try her birthday now that he knew what it was (the same as his, as her mother told him) he gave it a go since birthdays are pretty common passwords and he got lucky.

Well, maybe I will re-work it a bit when I get this printed in English. For now I'm more concerned with getting the Japanese version finished.

One of the most common passwords used by anyone is their birthday. Their birthdays, important anniversaries, pets' birthdays, etc. Everyone recommends not using those important dates as passwords because they are too easy to guess.
